The six pieces generate the shape of a transatlantic inspiring the name of Titanic Collection

The first prototypes plated in black and gold.
The bottle stoppers started following the invitation of Anthologie Quartett, a German distributor, to participate in the exhibition "Old and New Proposal for the Revival of the Rich table" held in Milan in 1986. Few sketches and many prototypes make evident that aligning the pieces generated the shape of a transatlantic; the bottle stoppers Titanic Collection was born. The idea of creating a set was strategical to sell the collection by six pieces. The first series presented at the exhibit were plated in black and gold. It was a success, and immediately Anthology Quartett asked if we could start the production because they wanted to distribute them worldwide. In Florence, two old craftsmen accepted the challenge to build then in large quantities. The production began, and hands produced thousands of pieces. The basic form was in brass; a nearby laboratory was finishing it in silver plate. We homemade the cork finish, and we embossed it with our name Vincenzo Iavicoli and Maria Luisa Rossi.
